PlanCenter Enterprise is among the most versatile newspaper pre-press planning tool on the market. Production plans are formed and activated by drag-and-drop of page plans to presses. PlanCenter Enterprise is included in ControlCenter Enterprise.

PlanCenter Enteprise allows intermediate non-complete plans to be issued. The main philosophy is to allow the editorial page planning to be defined separately from the press planning. This reflects how planning is often done in practice—the page plan origins from the editorial planning stage whereas the press plan maps the page plan to realizable physically press configurations. A given page plan is applied on the available press resources for plate copy calculation

ImportCenter

- Automated plan-importer

ImportCenter is an automated plan importing tool for tight integration with present editorial and press planning system. ImportCenter automatically processes plan files coming as XML. New plans are entered in ControlCenter and updates to present plans are performed. The plan files may hold information about pages, color, editions etc. If available ImportCenter will also accept imposition information and press related information such as plate positions.

   Open-standard XML format production plans

   Hot-folder based automated import of XML-based plans

   Processing of new production plans as well as re-arrangement of updated plans (e.g. new page count orpress re-allocation)

   Often combined with customized native-to-XML convert made and supported locally by customer or distributor (e.g. Atex, EAE, CCI, ALS converters)
